THE PERSON, IWJ ROMIEL Esq
Ibeinmo Williams Johnny Romiel was born on the 21st of April, 1984 in Nembe present Bayelsa State. He started his Primary School in State School II Nembe and finished in Lizperes Emaculate Academic Centre Woji Estate Porthacourt. He went on to complete his secondary education at Nembe National Grammar School (NNGS) Nembe in the year 2003.
Barr Romiel is a broadly skilled individual with over Sixteen years of experience in private, civil and public service. Presently, Barr Romiel is the Principal Solicitor of IWJ ROMIEL & ASSOCIATES (GLISTERS ATTORNEYS).
Glisters Attorneys is a Port Harcourt based Law firm with an affiliation with top law firms in Abuja, Lagos, South Africa and London. The firm is specialized in Litigation, Soliciting, Arbitration, Property and Corporate law Practice.
Barr Romiel, started his political career in the year 2002 in his maternal home Sikaka Polo Nembe Bassambiri under the able leadership of Dr Ikaonaworio Eferebo, the then Chairman of the Nembe Local Government Council and now Regent of the Opu Nembe Kingdom who saw the shining star in him and not just employed him into the Civil Service but also encouraged him with the needed finances to pay up his WAEC and other sundry fees to enable him advance his educational career. Barr Romiel later became a key player in the political camp of late Hon Opusiri Otobo who represented Nembe Constituency III in the State House of Assembly between 2003 -2011. Hon Opusiri, upon seeing the Leadership credibility in him encouraged him in contesting a seat in the local Government legislative arm in 2007 which elections were not conducted till 2010. Barr Romiel was also a top kitchen cabinet member of the Hon Sylva Waribugo's political family while he served as Executive Chairman of Nembe LGA where Romiel was appointed Special Assistant and he performed his duties credibly well. In March 2010, he contested in a fairly conducted election led by the electoral committee chairman John Sambo and he immerged President of the National Union of Bayelsa State Students (NUBSS) admist three other contestants, where he played leading roles in not only active rights activism but also influenced public sector institutions building in the state.
His rare show of humility, dedication and commitment to service endeared him to former Commissioner for Finance, budget and economy Dr Silva Opuala-Charles who did not only appoint him as his top aid then in government but has immeasurably supported and guided his growth till this day.
Barr Romiel, as then leader of students in Bayelsa State in consultation with his executive council struggled for the successful payment of two years bursary allowance; He led five thousand students solidarity walk in favour of Chief Timipre Sylva and presented to him the famous NUBSS NATIONAL MERITS AWARD for his love for students. Same day, he called for the dissolution of the Special Bursary payment committee whom he was a member, for want of honesty and credibility in the bursary payment process; He pioneered legislations on regular payment of bursaries, scholarship and other student's welfare in the state through Hon Opusiri, which was eventually thwarted; He made a public call on the then President Goodluck Jonathan in town hall meetings and other fora for the establishment of a Federal University in the state which later led to the establishment of Federal University of Otueke. Furthermore, in the spirit of giving back to society, he partnered with Niger Delta University Chapter of the union led by Comr Selekiye Tarabina and donated educational materials to the Niger Delta University through the Vice Chancellor of the institution running into millions of naira. Finally, his leadership was also able to fulfill his campaign promise of establishing a Secretariat for the Union.
Barr Romiel has Masters in Law (LL.M), specialising in Constitutional and Human Rights Law and was called by the Chief Justice of Nigeria as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria on 27th November, 2014 after graduating with second class honours in Bachelor of Laws LL.B from the Prestigious faculty of Law, Rivers State University Porthacourt.
In January 2015, Barr Romiel was appointed by the Chairman Council of Traditional Rulers of Bayelsa State His Eminence, King Alfred Diete Spiff as his Technical Assistant (TA), a position he served in merit and until his acceptance of his Master degree studentship offer at a later part of the year.
Barr Romiel, is a Port Harcourt based Human Rights lawyer, social reformer, scholar and an advocate of peace. He has to his credit the following publications / articles:

He is a distinguished member of the Nigeria Civil Liberty Organization (CLO), Member of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and other top associations both locally and internationally.
He is the founder and the presiding leader of Bayelsa Liberation Group; a group with vision to support credible and God fearing persons into public office. The group is also one of the renowned groups known in projecting Barr Romiel in his desire to represent Nembe constituency II in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly come 2019.
Barr Romiel is married to Mrs Tonah Beinmote Romiel and they are blessed with two girls and two boys.

Meet Ex-Militant who has become an Entrepreneur in the Electronic sector under Paul Boroh.

The Paul boroh led Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta in it's commitment and dedication to further develop the people of region, embarked on a Verification exercise in Ondo state, to access the performances of some of it's delegates who were empowered last year.
The verification team led by Gbaboyor Jude met with Aboyewa Perelatei at Okitipupa in Ondo State, who was empowered on Electrical & Electronic appliances last year.
The reports were good, Mr. Perelatei who was in the creek engaging in arms and pipeline vandalism before the Amnesty, has transformed into a full blown entrepreneur, he has kept his bussiness going and has also become an employer of labour.
If more youths will utilise this opportunity to transform their lives, the days of militancy, pipeline vandalism, and kidnapping, will be far behind us.
Also, another delegate, Ikuedoho James Idowu, who was empowered on food stuffs, was visited, but his shop was met empty.
According to James, he narrated his ordeal, blaming the emptiness to series of robbery attack, which has caused set backs for both himself and his family, he pleaded with the office for a second chance to enable him resuscitate his business

Is high time the good People Of Kolo-Creek begin to feel the true dividends of Democracy because is their rights, I bring you Qualitative, Effective, Pragmatic, Egalitarian and all Inclusive Representation in the legislature chambers to give the good people of Kolo-Creek that sense of belonging devoid of acrimony and discrepancies, i urge you all to give me the mandate to represent you and I assure you that upon my election into the House I will ensure an all encompassing Governance free of party sentiments, I will ensure an equal sharing formula of the dividends of Democracy to my people, i will Sponsor Bill that will take care of the Kolo-Creek Gas turbine for constant and steady electricity supply in Kolo-Creek, if elected into Office I will make case with SPDC and the State Government for immediate reconstruction of the Imiringi Bridge that was destroy as a result of the flood, i will concentrate more on human capacity development, I will organize a yearly academic inter secondary schools competition across the various communities in Kolo-Creek with a good take home package in order to encourage and promote the educational sector in Kolo-Creek, I will have a yearly bursary payment of #50,000 for best performing Students in various higher institutions of learning, from my salary i will have a special monthly take home package for the Elderly, Widows, Disables, Orphan's and the less privileges, I will train 100 Youths yearly on various vocationally programmes, I will be organizing Agricultural and Entrepreneurship seminars/workshops to encourage the spirit self reliance among the women and Youths, I will organize a Yearly Football Tournaments tagged ""EDDICIOUS FOOTBALL TOURNAMENTS"" among the various communities in Kolo-Creek in order to discover young talents, I will be having a monthly prayer programmes/submit in Kolo-Creek to bring my people closer to God more, conclusively I will raise motions that will gear towards infrastructural developments and good Government policies that will be great benefit to my people...
Is time to take developments to the people door step because they are fulcrum upon wish there is Democracy and Governance..

OHBAN OLEI STUDENTS CELEBRATE AS HON CHIEF MITEMA OBORDOR PROMISES TO PAY SCHOOL FEES FOR ALL OHBAN OLEI STUDENTS
Hon Chief Mitema Obordor, Member of Bayelsa state House of Assembly representing Ogbia LGA Constituency 1 Bayelsa state, has promised to pay school fees for all Oban Olei Students in Ogbia LGA.
Hon Chief Mitema Obordor whom made the promise when one of his official aide Comr Akekere Jerry visited NDU Amassoma on Tuesday the 6th June 207 for an emergency meeting concerning the forthcoming Obhan Olei Students Union elections, explained that the gesture was targeted at encouraging education for the people of Ogbia LGA.
Comr Akekere Jerry therefore requested that all federated Union President/Stakeholders of Ohban Olei Students should compile the names of all her students in tertiary institutions and forward them to him in good time for further action.
Comr Prince Nayam gave a vote of confidence to Chief Mitema Obordor urging him to come back for second tenure that the student community of Ohban Olei are solidly behind him and ready to deliver him come 2019, He also described Chief Mitema Obordor as the most students friendly leader in Ogbia LGA, a shelter to the homeless, a father to the fatherless, despite his busy schedule that he always take all calls and reply messages. Ohban Olei Students of other notable unions in Bayelsa state such as MEN ON GROUND FAMILY, OGBIA YOUTHS COUNCIL, OGBIA BROTHERHOOD STUDENTS WING, OGBIA YOUTH MOVEMENT, Kvng Ethan MOVEMENT, DIVINE AGENDA STUDENT WING, Odionin Ogbia, Ogbia Na Don Ariwera, etc where represented by their members and all gave a vote of confidence to Chief Mitema Obordor
Comr Destiny Dahfizzy used the opportunity to call on the state government to look into the issues affecting the students community, mostly NDU and FUOTUOKE science laboratories and to provide conducive learning environment not to use the youths as politcal thugs,, while their children are abroad.
Comr James Prince Nayam who is President of Ohban Olei Students Union gave the closing remark and congratulates all the NIGER DELTA UNIVERSITY Ohban Olei Students whom their matriculation is slated to hold on the 17th of June 2017, that Chief Mitema Obordor is willing to do the needful and will always be the Hope for the Hopeless, Father to the fatherless.
